Q: I haven't exercised in a while... OK like, forever. Will I still be able to do this?


A: Firstly, it's great that you are thinking about getting back into the swing of exercise. Sometimes just thinking about starting something can be daunting. Then making the next move and contacting someone about it, can be even tougher. None the less, well done.


Secondly, yes. You will be able to do this, and much more.

The length of time between when you last exercised, to when you start back up doesn't matter. You will still be able to move, you will be able to do the work and you will be able to get it done.

Granted, it will probably hurt and you'll be sore the next day, but you'll enjoy it, fell better for it and it gets easier.


Q: I really don't think I'm fit enough.


A: You don't need a baseline level of fitness to start CrossFit. You are there to develop and build your fitness.

 Try not to compare your self to others and their ability when you are first starting out. Take it easy in the first few weeks to see where you are at. As you become fitter, find the sessions easier and learn and understand the movements, then you can start pushing harder.


Q: Help! I have no idea where to start! But want to.....


A: Half the battle is won.... you want it!

The next step is to simply book in for an introductory class, and turn up, water bottle in hand!

An introductory, or 'Intro' class is where we get to show you what CrossFit and we are all about, and we also get some extra time to find out more about you. These classes are generally one on one, and are structured so you have time to understand how a typical class happens and movements involved. An intro class is also a good opportunity if you need some confidence building and have any hesitations about your ability.


Q: Are you 'body beautiful'?


A: Well yes! We are beautiful!

But what I think you mean is 'do you have lots of good looking, fit people checking themselves and each other out, making me feel like I don't fit in.' No. Our members are there to workout, get fit and healthy, and enjoy each others company.

They will support you.

They will cheer you on.

They will high five you.

They will tell you your awesome. Really.

And they come in all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities.

So yes, we are body beautiful!


Q: Are you going to make me follow a super strict diet that leaves me feeling hungry, flat and demotivated, just so we can 'get results'?


A: Well that sounds boring! We don't preach eating a special diet, calorie counting or macronutrient restricting (no carbs anyone?!).

We advocate that you eat and enjoy healthy, tasty and nutrient dense food often, actually enjoy treats, special occasions and a good glass of wine, train hard. and supplement if required.  

If you put in the effort with your training, you will see results.

Plus, you should reconsider any diet that leaves you hungry, flat and demotivated. Mood. Killer.



Q: But I can't find a babysitter!


A: Lucky for you, all of our 9:30am Monday - Saturday classes are parent friendly! Dad's included. This means you can bring your little one along to the class, without needing to beg a friend or family member to watch them, just so you can workout! We have a large play pen with floor covering, and a bunch of toys for a variety of ages. We unfortunately cannot look after your little one as we'll be coaching, but it's OK if you need to drop in and out of the class if they need anything.

We're parents too. We get it!


Q: What do I need to bring?


A: Yourself.

A water bottle

Comfy clothes and shoes good enough to workout in.

A good attitude and willingness to learn.



Q. I'm nervous about starting this.


A: We had first day nerves to!

It's OK - we get that.

They'll all be gone by the end of the session.

    I think that what you said made a great deal of sense. However, what about this? suppose you were to write a killer headline? I mean, I don't want to tell you how to run your website, however suppose you added a post title that makes people want more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little boring. You could glance at Yahoo's home page and note how they create article headlines to get people interested. You might add a related video or a picture or two to get readers excited about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might make your posts a little livelier.
