Regardless of your age, exercise history, ability, injuries or physical limitations, you can do CrossFit.


A skilled coach will be able to identify if you need to scale or modify a programmed exercise or movement, and will provide you with a variation. Take pull ups for example. Here we can make it easier by using band to reduce the load, change the grip to provide better leverage, or regress the movement to ring rows. You also have a responsibility to keep the communication lines open with your coach and let them know if you are not feeling so great, are injured, or would like to scale a particular exercise.


All this aside though, the most important thing is that you are giving it a go. The hardest part is always getting started.
